Based in Lochnaw, near Stranraer, JCP Workshop (previously BrassWindFix) was established in 2008 by Justin Pavey, who is a freelance musician. He is a tenor and bass trombonist and plays all styles from orchestral to jazz.

Justin trained in woodwind & brass musical instrument repair at the Leeds College of Music before taking up a position in the workshop of John Packer Ltd in Taunton, Somerset. It is here that he really began to appreciate the art of repairing, learning from Gary Dickinson and Gill Baker who are two of the most highly respected repairers in the UK.
With over twenty-five year’s service in the music industry, Justin not only has the knowledge and experience to produce work of the highest quality, but also understands a musician’s needs and requirements.
Justin started developing his handcrafted copper pipe lamps in 2019, using his experience in working with brass. These are manufactured with the same care and skill used when repairing musical instruments, and are therefore made to the highest standard.
